Default Favorite films from early teen years.

When I was in middle school, I discovered a bunch of classic comedy films if I must say. I remember being the one who ever saw these which was a huge shame. I was about 12 when I saw these. I remember being obsessed with Airplane! and thinking it was hilarious and people would be like I saw it on Comedy Central and it sucked . Whatever, here are some of my favorites.

Airplane!
The Breakfast Club
Weird Science
Wet Hot American Summer
Naked Gun Series
Kentucky Fried Movie
Sixteen Candles

Now being 18, its great to watch these films now as they were great part of my early teen years!

During my early teen years back in the early 1980s, some of my most unforgettable movie experiences involved films like Risky Business, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, or Sixteen Candles.

To my 12 year-old self, Risky Business was basically the equivalent of Citizen Kane or The Godfather. The movie featured nude scenes, house parties, and even a car chase.

I still enjoy watching those movies today. I guess that I have not grown up all that much, but that's a good thing.

During my 41 years, I have not experienced any tragic situation, heartbreak, or sad event that was not at least partially alleviated by staying up into the late hours of the night revisiting the above films, along with Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Real Genius, and Better Off Dead.

Early teenage years? I was mostly obsessed with stuff like The Lost World, Godzilla (1998), and The Haunting. Not exactly a lover of quality cinema. One of the few "respectable" movies I watched over and over back then was Saving Private Ryan.

My early teenage years were 1993 and forward, so I don't recall enjoying a lot of comedies back then. Grease 2 was a sort of musical hybrid, but that was released in 1981. I guess The Mask is the best one that comes to mind; I still love it and wish they had done a proper sequel.

I was born in 1981 - will have to steal some of your answers:

The Mask
Ace Ventura Pet Detective
Dumb and Dumber
Jurassic Park
Forrest Gump
Happy Gilmore
Lion King
Friday

Gosh, 1996 seemed like a poor year for movies looking back now, imo.

Back to the Future. On VHS. Like, almost daily, for at least a year.

Oh man, the teenage years. Insane, out of control, the youngest in a large group of older, crazy friends I grew up with and practically no parental supervision. Lots of midnight movie shows, the drive-in and good times. I was a very lucky kid...
