Finally finished watching this. It did not flow that well, but I thought it had some hilarious lines.

I have and I didn't care for it.

The Bad Boys movies, The Rock, The Island, are well made but I just don't care for them

Most people who've seen it have said it's a terrible movie, from the beginning to the end.

The Island is playing on HBO right now.
Great flick.

Hey, I haven't seen Pain & Gain, but I love The Island and Bad Boys 2... Does it stand to reason that I'll love this?

The Island is Michael Bay's best movie because it actually had a good storyline, without one explosion after another.

Now lemme ask about that... he only directed Bad Boys II and The Island... Bay didn't write either of them, right? So are the explosions written into Bad Boys II by the writer?

Michael Bay directed more than 2 movies! He also directed all three Transformer films and the upcoming Transformers: Age of Extinction, Bad Boys, The Rock, Armageddon and Pearl Harbor.

I know what he directed.
Not what I asked.
I'll ask again:
If there is a writer, a writer that is not Bay, are said writers writing the explosions in?

What are you, thick? Are you trying to act like an idiot?
I only listed those two because those are the two I like. And although lots of things explode in Bad Boys 2, he didn't write it. With that said, is he to blame for the explosions?

If you knew so much about Michael Bay as you thought, you would have known the answer.... Now are you thick, or trying to act like an idiot?

I think he phrased the question so that he said he knew Micheal Bay only directed, not directed and wrote, Bad Boys II and The Island, not that he thought that Bad Boys II and The Island were the only films he thought Micheal Bay had directed.

I bought into the negativity that seemed to be surrounding this movie and wrote it off as a result, then saw a preview for it, unaware it was this movie, thought it looked really good... then I saw the title... now I want to see it! I should have known I would have liked it since I tend to like Michael Bay's films... except for Transformers 3... can't stand that one. Transformers 2, however, I love the most, which is interesting given everyone seems to hate it.

Hi,

I've not seen the movie, and have no intention of doing so, but a review by noted UK film critic Mark Kermode was shown a few weeks back on his BBC News Film Review programme. This is what he said about "Pain & Gain". I think it's one of the funniest lambastings I've seen him give any film ever, and I quote:

Quote:
It's like swimming in a river of effluent. It is like looking into the deepest, darkest, emptiest abyss possible. It is an ugly, nasty, misogynistic, vile, ill-judged, unfunny, overlong, headache-inducingly painfully unpleasant film, that is made by somebody who has not got any sense of humour whatsoever. This is a satirical art movie about murder, and worse, made by the guy who made TRANSFORMERS!

Just a heads up, but the following featurettes were submitted to the BBFC the other day, so it looks like the UK might be getting special features on it's release (currently set for December 23rd)...
  • The A Game: Michael Bay's Pain & Gain - Still A True Story Ripped From The Headlines (11:22)
  • Back to Basics: Michael Bay's Vision (08:26)
  • American Dream: Daniel Lugo (05:22)
  • Passion Player: Paul Doyle (05:23)
  • Dirty Work: Adrian Doorbal (03:45)
  • Victimless Crime: Victor Kershaw (05:40)
  • Diamonds in the Rough: Locations (08:42)
  • The Real Deal: Law Enforcement (08:39)

I am guessing that is what will be on the Special Edition releasing in the US in December. Unless there is a commentary or two included as well those features are not nearly enough for me to buy it and I will still be sticking with my UV Vudu version.
