![]() There are rumors on the forums from Taiwan that this projector has a form of E-shift (JVC Tech to make a 1080P panel produce close to 4K) plus image enhancer like Sony's reality creation or Darbee. Treat as a rumor at this stage. Users in Taiwan (customers have taken delivery of the HD-90) are reporting very small pixels and that a type of E-shift is how there is 124 mega pixel been reported in the information above. One user was asked about fan noise. He reported he didn't know there was a fan. He checked and could only hear it when he put his ear on the projector itself. ![]() |

It's either marketing bull or does it really upscale to 128 Mpixels because that's like 64k! |

![]() I'm really curious on White Uniformity. That is my pet hate on all digital projectors. I understand you use a LED/Laser (Acer k750 1080p). How is White Uniformity on yours? When throwing up a plain white image is it the same shade white over the whole screen? Last edited by Badas; 10-08-2013 at 01:28 AM. |

It's biggest problem though is sharpness Uniformity which means it's a little sharper on one side then the other but can also be fixed a bit by balancing the lens till it's just right but it's still sharper then any LCD even with this issue! I believe it's a lens issue with my model? What I like about my projector is that is has reference black and white grey scale! it's white Uniformity is a lot better then LCD that's for sure and the Optoma uses a blue laser "i think" so it should be even better in that regard then any LCD/LCOS projector! |

I want the new Optoma as soon as it gets reviews by someone respectable. Might get one from Hong Kong. Got a mate there who checked it out for me. It is available there now. ![]() |

I plan to get it about February 2014. I never buy a projector at this time of the year for the following reasons.
1. I wait for the reviews and any bugs to get sorted out. 2. Christmas holidays are busy movie watching. So I don't want anything that I haven't got to terms with yet. |

I talked to the guy that's going to do the shoot out between the ACER K750, Panasonic RZ470, LG PF80G , Vivitek H9080FD
He will be posting calibration settings for those projectors and there native contrast and lumen output! The Optoma has a claimed 600 calibrated lumens ![]() Some one posted on this site that they weren't that impressed by the sharpness, contrast and color performance out of the box!:http://www.homecinema-fr.com/forum/p...tml#p177847583 hopefully we found out more come the 7th, I'm speaking to somebody that has the HD91 overseas for more info... Even if it's not good as a CINEMA Projector it wouldn't hurt me to have this for 24hr Entertainment use for gaming on my PS4. Last edited by kenoh; 11-10-2013 at 01:15 PM. |

I guess we wait until the 7th then. Is there a English translation link? 600 Lumens is not good. ![]() It will be okay for 2D. Probably not too worried about Dim 3D. I only have 6-10 3D blu's. ![]() Now I'm starting to wonder if a JVC for 2D and Epson (bright) 3D combination might be better. I was hoping to go lampless. |

![]() Well right now I don't know about jumping on the LED bandwagon for most of you? I'd imagine to get a really good lamp less solution you would have to get something between $10,000 - $15,000 but the LEDs alone might not justify the price because as of right now you can get a true 4k projector from SONY for the same amount "or cheaper" and in a few months I'm sure a competitor will come out with a better cheaper alternative then the TITAN or Micro 2. I'm hearing some good things about LG lamp less solution and is priced around 1299 euro. The only problem for me is it doesn't have any manual zoom but it is 1080p and does have current features like True Motion , MLH 2.0. as of right now I have my eyes set on the Panny and am eager to see how it performers in the shootout! |

Yeah, I have lost a lot of hope on this projector. Those numbers look terrible. ![]() I think I may go for the Sony 4K (already arranged a demo with Sony New Zealand) then I don't have to worry about a projector purchase for 5 years. All this projector thinking is giving me a headache. ![]() There is no clear choice this year. Just a whole lot of marketing crap. No matter what choice I make it will be wrong. So I might as well go big mistake. ![]() |
