so will the steelbook edition have all the extras that are on the 2-disc regular edition? It's really annoying that the extras are fogged out on the Amazon listing of this - what are they? From what I've read about the film, the full Heaton Park concert is not presented in full - I hope there are more songs on the extra disc.

Interesting that its 3 disks as it includes the dvd.

Does anyone else think the steelbook looks a bit tall. I'm wondering if its DVD size but includes a blu ray.

I believe the steelbook just adds a DVD of the documentary film.

The standard BD is the documentary film on BD and a DVD of extras. The steelbook adds the documentary on DVD as a 3rd disk. I guess that way it makes it attractive to non BD consumers who want a collectable steelbook but only interested in DVDs. So covers both a BD and DVD market.

maybe I'm just making an assumption, but this film is not the full length concert but a doc film about the genesis of the reforming, and the events leading up to the concert, as well as snippets of the show itself - right?

I ended up getting the standard version, it's 2 blu-rays, 1 for the movie and 1 for the special features. The discs are both region free, the main feature is encoded in 1080i 50hz, so beware if you're planning to import.
