I will be waiting for the BD version of The Matrix.

Here are the Amazon rankings
POTC 1 125
POTC 2 133
Matrix Ultimate 276
Matrix complete 548

I honestly see more sales of the POTC movies than these expensive box sets.

I also expect Harry Potter movies to be out on hd dvd when Spidey is released...but hopefully Warner will release them on BD also.

I don't want any HP movies...but I still think they will sell big.

Quality titles that can push the format. The Matrix will be available on Blu-ray.
I concur....completely

The question in my mind is, what will be released on HD-DVD when Matrix is released on Blu-ray or when Spiderman trilogy is released on bluray ??
What huge blockbusters is available to them in this time period ?
I would not worry too much about the release of the matrix series on this date. Lets face it. The Matrix trilogy is a set and counts as a single sale. Whereas, Blu-ray has a minimmum of 4 eagerly anticipated films. Let us not forget about the wack of prime titles on June 5th.

I have even gone as far to stop renting Universal SD movies. Universal is not going to get a single cent from me (at least until I get my Uni Blu-rays)

I don't know if anyone of you saw the last two items on the list in this article that was posted a couple of days ago in a thread.

I liked the FIRST Matrix, but everyone after that I was pretty disappointed. There were some great scenes, but for the most part - it looked really rushed. Especially with the crappy digital scene of all the Agents and the piss poor digital Neo. Crap crap crap.

Again, if the first one comes to BD - I will buy it, but as for the entire trilogy - no thanks.

The first movie was definitely the best, with the second being the worst. Although for some reason, I enjoyed the last fight scene in revolutions. It kind of reminded me of Dragonball Z. I swear one of those guys was going to do a fireball
i'll buy the whole set anyway just so I don't feel incomplete

I know that's all I should do, but I'll probably end up buying the entire trilogy when it finally happens.

Yeah, that may be even more obvious in HD. It was already pretty obvious on the DVD.

Default Matrix SD

Yeah, the first Matrix was the best but I'm a Matrix freak so I'm looking forward to the set. I can't bear to watch the SD versions on my hdtv anymore, even with my upconverter they still look pretty bad. Especially the first Matrix.

Put the story aside for a second.

Now lets look at what HD is all about:
*Picture quality & Sound Quality.

*How many people bought "Crank" just cus it looked great?

*How many people watch shows on Discovery they'd never watch in SD?

Right now, Highdefinition is about wowing your eyes & ears, not your Brain

Take Reloaded & Revolutions for what they are; EYE/EAR CANDY fire up some
microwaveable popcorn and let your brain turn to mush for a few hours

As bad as the Ewok scene is in ROTJ I still love the series!

OK, I understand that the latter two Matrix movies didn't live up to the first. I think, however, that they are being judged more harshly because of the brilliance of the original. Personally, I am eagerly anticipating seeing the freeway scene (and the fight scene that immediately preceeds it) from Reloaded on bd. It should be incredible!

I can't wait to see those scenes in hi def also. The attack on the dock in Revolutions should be awesome too.

Is there a date for blu-ray? Was at the theater today and saw the commercial for Matrix HD. Play on your Toshiba HD-DVD for the 360 add-on. No way will I buy that junk. Waiting for blu-ray here.

So have I, and I'm not going dual format just for Universal. The last DVD I bought was a Universal disc "The Heiress" & that is the last penny from me they will see.
