The only joy to be had from it, is Jeff Bridge's deranged performance, which includes an obsession with hats. The rest of it is pure shit, with some of the worst "LOOK, WE'RE IN 3D!" pandering, I've seen in ages.

Weird how Universal only released a 3D blu of this (with 2d disc included)

I watched this last night and really enjoyed it. Plenty of crazy CG action and really solid 3D. The script should have been better and Bridges goes way overboard with his character, also Reynolds seems pretty unengaged throughout the whole thing. It's strengths are in the action and FX department and whilst a lot of it is pretty cartoony, it's entertaining to watch. Loved the designs of the Deados.

A bargain for £14.99 for a 3D release IMO.

Don't think so. Considering Universal didn't want to splash out on a separate 2D and 3D release.

Didn't in HMV, but then neither did The Purge and that has/had a slip.
