Is it possible the US release is region free?
On eBay a seller has a section in his store for "Region B UK" and, Planet Earth is in there for around £50.

Not a very reliable source.. but still.

I just checked the back of the case for Planet Earth, and I can't find the region symbols. Not sure if it's A, B, C or all of them...

Default Planet Earth quezzy.

I read a forum I stumbled across that Planet Earth on Blu-ray is region free and will play on any player (including UK ones).

Before I go and order one from Amazon, would someone be kind enough to check their copy for region coding please?

The more the merrier! Cheers.

I don't have a region B player so I can't personally confirm, but a friend of mine from the UK just sent me this:

Quote:
Planet Earth Blu is region free...

<snip>

...read a posting on a UK site

Planet Earth plays perfectly on my UK PS3!

There's also official confirmation by MovieTyme on this thread at AVF:

Since you're from Seattle, Washington, I would think your US bought player would be region A
