Default 5 x 5: Five Favorite Films from Five Favorite Actresses

Following up on the recent 5 x 5 Directors thread:

5 x 5: Five Favorite Films by Your Five Favorite Directors

...here's a thread to highlight your favorite films and performances from some of your favorite actresses. Off the top of the dome:

Isabelle Adjani:
1)Possession
2)Nosferatu
3)The Driver
4)The Tenant
5)One Deadly Summer

Catherine Deneuve:
1)Repulsion
2)Belle de Jour
3)Umbrellas of Cherbourg
4)Dancer in the Dark
5)Pola X

Claudette Colbert:
1)Palm Beach Story
2)Midnight
3)Bluebeard's Eighth Wife
4)It Happened One Night
5)It's a Wonderful World

Isabelle Huppert:
1)The Piano Teacher
2)Coup de Torchon
3)Going Places
4)La Ceremonie
5)White Material

...and I surprised myself with this choice, but had to admit that there probably isn't a young actress working today who's been in more interesting projects with a more interesting array of directors:

Chloë Sevigny:
1)Zodiac
2)Brown Bunny
3)American Psycho
4)Trees Lounge
5)Gummo

Hanna Schygulla and Anna Karina are also among my tops, but I excluded them in favor of others, as each of them would've resulted in lists dominated by specific directors (Fassbinder and Godard, respectively).

This reveals a fundamental flaw in my so-called love of film. I thought of a bunch of actresses, but could only honestly list five favorite films for three of them. I couldn't find a complete five that are genuinely "favorites" for any of the others.

So the two Hepburns and Blanchett are easily my top three favorites. I'm a big fan of Foster and Zeta-Jones as well, but they could potentially be replaced by others such as Meryl Streep or Bette Davis, or another once I've had a chance to see more of their films.

Katharine Hepburn
The African Queen
The Philadelphia Story
The Lion in Winter
On Golden Pond
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner

Audrey Hepburn
Sabrina
Breakfast at Tiffany' s
Charade
Roman Holiday
Two for the Road

Cate Blanchett
Elizabeth
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
The Aviator
Elizabeth: The Golden Age
Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Jodie Foster
Silence of the Lambs
Contact
Panic Room
Taxi Driver
Anna & the King

Catherine Zeta-Jones
The Mask of Zorro
Entrapment
Traffic
Chicago
Ocean's Twelve

I'll take Funny Face over My Fair Lady any day. Audrey Hepburn having her singing voice dubbed in MFL just kills the experience and performance for me.

Wouldn't call it a bad film though but definitely nowhere near my top 5 Hepburn films.

Hepburn was so close to making my list of 5. I wouldn't have put My Fair Lady on there either. One of her weakest films and performances.

Ha! Probably would choose many of the same. Hell I will. This is a tough list, I'm not a huge die hard of specific actresses usually (except Mrs. Portman).

Natalie Portman
1. Garden State
2. Closer
3. Black Swan
4. Leon The Professional
5. Mars Attacks (half joking.)

Christina Ricci
1. Buffalo 66
2. Monster
3. The Ice Storm
4. Prozac Nation
5. Pumpkin

Noomi Rapace

1,2 3. Dragon Trilogy
4. Prometheus
5. Passion

Ingrid Bergman
1. Rossellini Films
2. Casablanca
3. Notorious
4. Spellbound
5. Joan of Arc

Chloe Grace Moretz:
1. Kick Ass 2
2. Kick Ass
3. Let Me In
4. 500 Days of Summer
5. Hugo (Bleh about this movie though)

My 5 1/2 answer is Kate Winslet (I don't have a top 5 for her as I don't love most of her movies, but the ones I do love are magnificent. She is just incredible.)
1. Eternal Sunshine
2. Little Children

I'm only doing currently, because I really don't have any classic actresses I would call my favorites.
* = Trade outs if you don't want to count (essentially) cameo roles

Zooey Deschanel:
1). (500) Days of Summer (My favorite movie ever)
2). Elf (Favorite Christmas movie AND one of favorite movies period ever)
3). Bridge to Terabithia
4). Yes Man
5). The Happening (one of my favorite comedies ever)(Yes I put that next to the correct movie)

Jennifer Lawrence: (Guarantee American Hustle goes on here too)
1). Silver Linings Playbook
2). X-Men First Class
3). The Poker House
4) Winter's Bone
5). The Hunger Games

Anne Hathaway: (I've really only seen her bad movies, but love her)
1). Les Miserables
2). Dark Knight Rises
3). Get Smart
4). Princess Diaries
5). Alice in Wonderland

Emily Blunt:
1) Looper
2). The Adjustment Bureau
3). The Muppets
4). The Five-Year Engagement
5). Dan in Real Life

Anna Kendrick:
1). 50/50 (One of my favorite movies ever)
2). Pitch Perfect
3). ParaNorman
4). Scott Pilgrim vs The World (does this count?)
5). Up in the Air
*Rapture Palooza*

Honorable Mention/Trade out for Blunt (It varies on how I feel that day as to which of these 2 are placed where)

Chloe Grace Moretz:
1) (500) Days of Summer (does this count?)
2) The Poker House
3) Kick Ass
4) Kick Ass 2
5) Dark Shadows (Bad movie, good performance)

*Carrie* (Again, Bad Movie, good performance)
