Amazon is late with these things sometimes, especially for this title since its been postponed so many times. If this gets postponed for a THIRD time, I'm going to go all Tyrannosaurus on Fox's distribution people.

It seems as though I have been waiting for this one forever. I can wait a little longer...until it is available for under $20 that is... My patience paid off for I, Robot, Independence Day, Commando, Predator and Ice Age. There is plenty to watch in the meantime.

I love this movie. For me, the dvd offered up one of the best DTS audio mixes I've ever heard. I can't wait to see what the BD offers. I believe Bill Hunt confirmed, again, with Fox that this title will be released on schedule for May 13.

I agree with you 1,000%. I love this movie to death, my favorite film. The DTS was fantastic - I shudder to think of the DTS HD MA available on this. The surrounds will come alive!

Yes, so much of the final mix has to do with the original recording and the audi engineers of Master and Commander got it right. Can't wait to see (and hear) this BD!

Fox releases it in the UK tomorrow (can already be found in some stores) so I cant imagine it taking that long to be released in the US. Initial reviews of the UK version are postive.

The only thing about Master and Commander that has disappointed me is all the times Fox has pushed back the release date. I've been waiting for this one forever. With the super job Fox has been doing on their transfers, and given all the extra time that they've had to work on this title, I'm sure it won't disappoint in the PQ/AQ departments either

I thought the movies was great, but I like it even more for the "demo factor". Demo'd the DVD (first battle scene) many times. Made for a great surround demo, but the dark scenes unfortunately exposed the limitations of the Sharp LCD in my 'mini theater'. I can't wait for it on Blu-ray so I can see it in its 1080P goodness with the DTS HD MA soundtrack in my new basement theater! I'm chomping at the bit waiting for this one!

I have to agree that I'm definitely excited about this title. The DTS will be awesome with the battle scenes at sea. I hope the PQ is outstanding so that I can use this title to show off the BD player.

Why would you be surprised???? What was wrong with the storyline? This is a great film... and will be even better on blu. I'm surprised at your post.

I thought this movie was a little slow paced. Watched it a couple times just couldn't get into it.
