This is a must for me as well. Not sure which region I have...but a BD announcement is just pretty darn cool.

Me too. Though it has been one of my favorite imports and had plenty of spins, I will be very happy to see this upgraded to HD. Hopefully it will be completely uncut.

I was lucky to catch a 35mm screening of it here a couple of years ago. It was a blast watching it with an audience.

I never really looked at it that way when I saw it, but I do think that comparison has been made. It's been a long time since I've seen it, but I just remember it feeling like Scarface, but set in New York, and more gritty.

Sweetness. Been wanting this in HD ever since seeing the clips on Terror in the Isles. Gonna be great to retire that vhs rip and sell off the non-anamorphic (and cut) dvd.

They have to use that poster art, it's iconic! Although if they used this alternate poster I wouldn't be too upset either. Just great news this is coming, made my day.

Had a crap day today and this news just made me happy. For years I would always look for this at used dvd stores hoping I would come across a copy. I was actually looking into ordering the uncut french dvd last week. Day freaking 1.

Actually, I think it reflects the movie quite well. She has a calm outer exterior while inside she is screaming with rage. I still like the original poster art the best:

I love the new artwork. Kind of reminds me of something you'd see for a movie like Drive, Maniac (2013) or Beyond the Black Rainbow etc.
Of course this movie is nothing like that so perhaps it is "too classy" but I'm loving it nonetheless. Hopefully that's also the cover art for the blu-ray.
