Default Lego: "the hobbit" 2014

Loved the Lego Lord of the Rings game so much. Probably one of my favorite games ever and am very excited for this one

I still don't have (nor have I played) Lego LOTR. I would probably enjoy both of these games. This is a neat announcement. It doesn't state if it is for the PS3 or PS4 though.

At least it's compatible with WiiU (Which I have) in case it's PS4 only.

Well it says PlayStation, it's most likely for PS3, PS4, and Vita, considering these Lego games come out for pretty much every console.

Not sure why they're releasing this before the 3rd film is released! Surely that would've been the better option so they can have the whole trilogy like Lego LOTR!

Hooray, they're releasing an unfinished game for you to spend more money on to complete!!

I think for this one I'll wait for the inevitable disc version that will include it.

Thats not going to happen.

Besides, I happen to like DLC. I have no problem stimulating the economy and supporting the industry by spending money.

Is anyone bothered by the fact the game is available in 5 days and there still isn't a trophy list released to the public?

They should have just added the 3rd movie to this game... It is only about 100 pages of the book. Just throw Legalos in there riding some
[Show spoiler]Orcs
,
[Show spoiler]Dwarfs
,
[Show spoiler]Laketown men
, and
[Show spoiler]Eagles
. Then add
[Show spoiler]Sauron
turning
[Show spoiler]Saruman
evil and call it good. Doubt Jackson added anything else to the 3rd movie besides that or
[Show spoiler]kept anyone from dying.

Oh wait... add some love between
[Show spoiler]Fili
and
[Show spoiler]Tauriel

Pushed back? I thought it was always planned for Dec, like every other film in the franchise.

Regardless. Dumb move on their part IMO. As much as we enjoyed LOTRs, I'll wait for a release that includes the full game on disc, they're practically giving them away at $10 or so, or skip it altogether. After all the bugs in Marvel Superheroes, I'm not planning on buying any more Lego games for the PS3 anyway. And I rather doubt I'll be picking up a PS4 before next fall - hoping for a bundle deal with Batman, Middle Earth, or something - unless I come across a really good deal.

When they first announced that it was going to be split into three movies rather than two, it was originally scheduled to released in July 2014.

If that's the case, then I have a perfect house for you. It's only 2/3rds of the way finished, but would demand full payment up front. When the 1/3rd portion is ready to be built, you'll have to pay an additional fee. Sound fair?

Just because DLC works for you doesn't mean it works for everyone else.

It's attitudes like that which leaves various industries in the state they're in right now.
