Default Seven Days in May (Frankenheimer, 1964)

Screenplay by Rod Serling

Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas, Frederic March, Ava Gardner, Edmond O'Brien, Martin Balsam, etc.

Anyone else interested in seeing this gem on Blu-ray? Unfortunately it looks like Warner Bros has the rights to it so it may not exactly be on the fast track to blu-ray (unless they license it to a boutique label).

Very good film. Let me say it again.... a very good film. It deserves to be released on Blu-ray

Would buy this in a New York minute! One of my all-time favorites. This, along with "Fail Safe".

The similar Manchurian Candidate was released on Blu-ray Disc, so I don't see why they wouldn't.

Unless that one lost them money, of course.

one of my absolute favorites too! So many great performances. Fredrick March, Kirk Douglas, Burt Lancaster, Edmond O'Brien. Wonderfully adapted from the novel (read the novel and see the choices Rod Serling made, brilliant!) And Frankenheimer's direction was at the peak of his powers. Unfortunately it does not have the same level of fans who are interested as does Manchurian Candidate, Yet another great film that manages to slip through the cracks. In a couple of years Frankenieimer made 4 GREAT films. Manchurian Candidate, 7DIM, Birdman of Alcatraz and The Train. For my money one of the best runs of great films by any director, ever!

I just finished the novel which is terrific. I haven't seen the film in several years and I'm craving a blu-ray. I don't want to have to buy an "HD" copy on Amazon!
