Canada Playing UV movies on your TV in Canada?

I was wondering how you fellow Canadians play your UV movies on your TV's. I currently use CinemaNow on the PS3, but it doesn't have access to a bunch of movies, so I am left unable to play about 10% of my collection on my TV. I would like to know if there is another way, like a fully functional version of FLIXSTER or something similar like M-Go or Vudu (not available in Canada unfortunately .

I only have Cinemanow on my PS3. A lot of the time I am away for work and just use Flixster on my iPad. Apparently Flixster will be available on the PS3 "very soon", but I have yet to see it. Cinemanow is getting better. More and more titles are becoming available. Some of my older codes that I could not access before have appeared in my account lately.

First bold, that would be terrific, if there was a full version of Flixster. They do have flixster on Roku, and Xbox, but it only shows previews and such, no movie rentals or UV access. Kind of dumb but it is what it is.

Second bold, I would not need to look any farther if CinemaNow just got their shit together and beefed up their library, I am missing about 10% of my UV library in CinemaNow. I was just in the US and Vudu was awesome to use on a Samsung Blu-ray player and on a Roku I bought while I was down there. Vudu available in Mexico, but not Canada, how does that make sense :/

So what's the best way if you buy a US Roku and want to use VUDU abroad?

Pmac,

Why don't you use Vudu on the PS3?... I don't have much experience with Cinema now but what I've seen wasn't good. Flixster too ... yuk.

Vudu is unavailable in Canada. Not on the PS3 here in Canada.

Hey Pmac, would you care to help us out and give us the details on how you got Vudu to work on a ps3? Heck, i cant even find it under the apps in the PS store or the TV/Video Channels section (as suggested on the VUDU site itself...)!

Thanks

All of those are only helpful to people in the U.S. This thread is asking about Canada, where Vudu isn't officially available.

That's because Vudu isn't officially available in Canada, so the app won't show up on any part of the PSN for you. pmac must have used some sort of work around.

Just create a US psn account and download the VUDU app and it should work.

After installing the app, would there not be IP issues? Vudu doesn't stream to Canadian IP addresses.

It's relatively easy to spoof a US IP for redeeming Vudu, but I believe it's harder to actually get it to stream.

Yeah, that was my understanding as well, which is why I brought up IP issues.

That's where I'm stuck. I have Vudu on the PS3, but can not stream movies through it.

Since it doesn't seem like he's been returning to this thread lately, trying PMing pmac to ask about how he got his working:
