Default Iron Man Review

Basicically Iron Mans main actions seens where the ones on the Previews of the movie. Except for one part when Downey fights an IRON Man Copy.

All in all it was a fun movie to watch. But not a movie to watch again or buy.

Though theater quality isnt as good as Blu ray imo.

Okay, your spelling and grammar made me lose interest. What does this have to do with Blu-ray?

Mods: Combine this thread with this one, please. And whatever else that's Iron Man related in the last couple of months.

The spelling is correct. It is the grammar. Your, not you're.

God forbid a movie have some kinda story, instead of just cgi effects....

Heard an interview with the director on Kroq radio today, movie sounds awesome...Reviewer from Kroq said it was the best done comic book movie
since the original Superman

I'm in the UK and saw the early afternoon preview screening about 6/7 hours ago and can honestly say i have not been as entertained by a superhero movie since the original spiderman.

Yes the story is basically an origin story, however it is done very well, there is a change in Starks character when he becomes Iron Man. The plot is well put together and coherent, however i won't give details here as i don't want to spoil it for people. Downey is absolutely fantastic delivering some of the dryest humour i have seen on screen for a while. Granted not everyone's cup of tea but i enjoyed it. The characters are not flat 2d representations but do have occasional depth and despite having bits cut out of the film for length, it clocked around 2hrs by my watch, there is enough to build upon to make this a good trilogy. Some of the fight scenes are a little skittish and the shots could have been picked better on occasion. Oh and finally the special effects are very well done, ILM did a fantastic job following on from the same sort of photorealism seen in Transformers and despite relying on it in places it doesn't detract from the immersion.

I have never been a collector of the comics, but i know enough of the story to say that it is relatively true to them with the suits, villains, origins etc, and the fans will be glad to know that there are hints of dialogue from some characters that hint at what could be to come...

Incredible Hulk and The Dark Knight have in my opinion a tough act to follow if they want to be the top superhero film of '08.

Definite Blu buy for me

Oh and when you do go see it stay till the end of the credits for a little bonus scene

Any questions you want answered feel free to PM me and ill reply best i can as soon as i can.

Absolutely fantastic movie. Better than transformers (imo). Its the best super hero movie i've seen so far and should rank amongst your favourites as well. Witty, funny, technically spectacular and great story. The guy who plays Tony Stark has made such a wonderful character. Someone who is spontaneous and against the grain, where your rooting for him to say what you want him to say, then he says it. Brilliant.

9.8/10.

Trailers shown are the extended Indiana Jones 4 (looks fantastic), Speed racer (so so) and a new film i've never heard of called "The happening" which looks absolutely spectacular. Its also kinda mysterious as it looks like a virus killing off America but it doesn't actually tell you whats happening. Its going to be a killer summer this year smile.gif

The Happening... that's the M. Night Shyamalan movie, right? That trailer's been out for a while. I'm hoping Speed Racer has a new trailer for The Dark Knight.

I'm going tonight to see Iron Man in DLP. I remember seeing Episode III in DLP. It's like comparing VHS to Blu-ray.
