I think this should be in the Wish List thread. And hopefully most of the videos' raw footage are well preserved on film.

Talk Talk - Life's What You Make it would probably be the coolest video from the 80's to be released on blu. It's got some really cool imagery.

How many of these even exist on film to make an HD release worthwhile. If all we are getting is 80's quality NTSC video, I'll pass.

That was my thought. These videos generally look really bad on VH1 Classics so could they really be improved by an HD upgrade?

Not if they aren't HD. You'll just end up transferring poor video to a different type of tape stock/storage.

How about Mexican Radio from Wall of Voodoo and everything from Oingo Boingo and Depeche Mode and The Cure. Even if the video quality is not stellar to have the HIGHEST quality copy available would have me and my wallet working overtime.

Unfortunately, there weren't many 80s video compilations on DVD. Blu will probably suffer the same fate.

I've seen 35mm prints of the Stones' Harlem Shuffle and AHA's Take On Me.

Did "Take On Me" look very good? That is a definite classic and unfortunately the official version on YouTube doesn't look very good (and I don't mean because of the compression and low resolution).

I'd like to see a lot of videos from the 80's on Blu, including Thriller, as mentioned above, and Huey Lewis' "Stuck With You" and "Doin' It All For My Baby" as those were unusually fun and creative, plus videos from other artists.

I honestly think its bs that Madonna and Michael Jackson, probably the two greatest artists in video history, released DVD's in the past few years of their classic videos and not on BD. I would totally be in for Michael Jackson's Vision and Madonna's Celebration if put out on Blu... and admit they have more rewatchability than concerts.

I'm all for Weird Al's videos on Blu-ray.

I wouldn't mind ABBA: The Definitive Collection on Blu-ray either. The DVD looks great, but should look amazing in HD.
