So I will try to shorten this as much as possible. I purchased an SC-1522 in June from Costco and was incredibly happy with it. On November, it all of a sudden stopped outputting an audio signal from HDMI inputs 1-5. I called pioneer and they referred me to a local repair shop. I took it in on November 1st and was told about a week and a half turnaround. On the 6th it their status updated to part ordered. On the 20th I called and asked what the hold up was, they called pioneer in regards of the part(Main board) and were told that the part would be available on March 12th or 2014. Obviously that wasn't going to work for me. I called Pioneer customer support which told me to give them 5 business days to see what they could do. On day 4 they told me that they couldn't get the part and asked if I would like a free upgrade to this years similar model, the SC-1523. I of course replied with a resounding yes, and 4 days later it was in my living room. Kudos to pioneer for holding to their product and warranty, especially knowing that I only paid that Costco closeout price. They have kept me a Pioneer owner for life.

Awesome job by them! I can only hope mine goes the same way. I've had the 1123-k for less then 3 months and the HDMI "out" has went out for atleast picture, I get audio then a picture for a split second once every 15 sec. I've changed the HDMI cord and cleaned as good as I can could with canned air, but with no luck. I even did a factory reset and no luck there either.
