A De Niro movie with no thread a day before release is NOT worth a blind buy, clearly. I actually want to see this one though, so I'll eventually stream it on my PS3.

Seems like The Family could be the Dark Horse movie on Super Tuesday, so many great movies coming out on one day with Kick Ass 2, The Lone Ranger, Percy Jackson:Sea of Monsters, Prisoners, and The Family. I want this one but its last on my list out of the 5.

It was an ok movie...alot more comedy than I was expecting. I love Deniro but he's kind of been hit and miss in recent years in his movies. I would pick this one up down the road maybe when it's less than $10.

I enjoyed this a great deal, but it proved very divisive among audiences and critics, so I would hesitate to advise anyone to blind buy it.

It is a very strange film with an absurd and macabre sense of humor, but also serious elements and lots of violence. It is nowhere near as masterful, but the recent film it might be most similar to is In Bruges.

I blind bought this from ebay last week for $14.99 with shipping not bad i guess i watched some of it last night and i liked what i did watch so far!.

I watched this last night and the best way to describes it is: meh, average, mediocre, take your pick really.

Its not bad, the cinematography looked great, but theres very little plot. It just never really gets going with any real momentum

[Show spoiler]until the final act when the stakes are raised when the mob try and kill them all. The tension and family dyamatic worked well here.

Deniro looked the part and was serviceable in a role within the genre that he's played really well in his hey day, but was ultimately forgettable mostly due to the writing.
