If you don't mine buying used blu-rays, Family Video have it for only $7.99 or 3 for $21.00. I've bought many used blu-rays from Family Video, and I have never had any problems with them. I've saved a lot of money buying used blu-rays.

As much as I love this movie, I ain't paying hundreds of dollars for it.
I hate paying inflated prices for anything. This is one I wish I had paid $50 for when I had the chance. Now it's definitely WAY above where I would buy it, and hell I have to admit even if I had bought it earlier on I would probably have looked to re-sell it anyway (like I've done with a few other expensive titles). Anything over $100 is just crazy to me, I would rather take the money and run at that point. Can't think of a single exception. It probably wouldn't be so collectible if it weren't the "definitive" release. I do think eventually, a superior release will probably come about and that will crush the value of the OOP Criterion. Although it's hard to see exactly when.

Maybe Criterion gets it back for a 4K format release. Or maybe they eventually sign a new deal with Studio Canal, and get all of these OOP titles back en-masse...

My Wal-Mart not only had the BD/DVD for $19.96, but the BD/DVD/UV for $22.96. I wanted the HDX version so I had no problem paying the extra $3 for it. It was worth it IMHO especially to get that gold slipcover. It's not Iron Man, but it's better than Iron Man 2.

Outland is $11.99 from WBshop right now, and if you combine with a $5 off $25 type deal (which they do frequently, not sure if it's going on now)... it effectively can be even cheaper.

I know this one came out when they had a bunch of titles at Best Buy that were $4.99 with upgrade and save, and Outland was one of just a couple from that wave of releases that for whatever reason never made it to store. But I know Warner had a really good price on it even back then. So while it was never "upgrade and save" cheap, it's been pretty damn cheap even from when it released.

I don't think anyone here is complaining. We're listing movies that we are waiting for the price to drop. I see nothing wrong with that.
