New Shoot 'em Up titles on PS3: Caladrius and Raiden IV: Overkill

Caladrius, the shoot-em-up with artwork by Suzuhito Yasuda (Devil Survivor) is headed to the PlayStation 3 in Japan, along with Raiden IV. Both games are currently available on Xbox 360.

Caladrius PS3 will add a new playable character to the game, as well as a new stage. Meanwhile, Raiden IV: Overkill will add a new “Overkill” mode.

Raiden IV will be available in spring 2014 as a download title. Caladrius is set for 2014 as well, and will be available at retail stores.

UFO Interactive has had a long relationship with Raiden developer Moss. They released Raiden III for PlayStation 2 and Raiden IV for Xbox 360. Raiden IV: Overkill, a PS3 version of Raiden IV with extra content. Overkill mode has new new stages and a different scoring system than the arcade game. Players can choose three ships Fighting Thunder ME-02 Kai, Raiden MK-II or a Fairy.

Raiden IV: Overkill will be released as a PlayStation Network download on April 29 for $19.99. Here’s hoping UFO Interactive picks up the PS3 version of Caldarius next.

Raiden Developer Moss made a new shooter called Caladrius with characters designed by Devil Survivor artist Suzuhito Yasuda. The game was released for Xbox 360 last year and it’s coming to PS3 under the name Caladrius Blaze on June 26.

Moss added extra content for Caladrius Blaze including new stages, new story scenarios, new bosses, and characters designed by Yasuda. The game will cost 6,800 yen on disc or on PSN. Moss also plans to release a limited edition which includes a drama CD and soundtrack CD for 8,800 yen.

Well I haven't heard of a U.S. or European release, but it's too soon to know for sure yet. Hell i'm surprised we are getting Raiden IV Overkill so fast. But UFO Interactive has been good with bringing the PS3 versions of Mamoru-kun and Raiden IV, so them bringing Caladrius would not surprise me. But it's too soon to know for sure, though i'm kind of doubting on it being import-only especially if Raiden IV does well.
