Apologies if there's a similar thread or if this has already been discussed, but...
I'm probably being a noob, but the 3D conversion on my TV simply splits the image in half either side-by-side or top to bottom and doesn't actually make any 3D effect. I've read the manual and can't see a workaround around it. I'm guessing I just haven't set the TV up properly, anyone know how? I've attached a picture to help. ![]() Last edited by Phil92; 12-21-2013 at 08:36 AM. |

No, YouTube 3D trailers and videos are usually in side by side format.
Like this: http://youtu.be/m30eyDv3250 While watching a side by side video, hit the side by side icon to match them up to create a 3D effect. Not sure if your particular set has 2D-3D conversion to make any 2D image 3D. But it apparently can make side by side and top and bottom clips 3D. Last edited by keb33509; 12-20-2013 at 10:36 PM. |

I couldn't find anything in the manual Phil92. Are the 3D movies working or is it just the 3D effect that isn't working? All I could find is:

Native 3D films work fine. If I try to convert a 2D image (whether it be TV, 2D Blu-ray or a film stored on my PS3 hard drive) via the 3D button on the remote, I'm just presented with that menu above.
