It seems OK, I am only viewing it on my laptop so I cannot really say until I have viewed it on the Plasma. In the mean time I will get some more screen shots uploaded. It looks like the same Fortune Star version that Kam & Ronson and Paramount used.

It doesn't appear to have the knackered brightness of Rumble in the Bronx.

Ill buy this after Christmas, I have spent so much money on my Jackie Chan collection (including importing the Uncut versions of movies like First strike and The protector etc)

I'm very happy with my collection now but I'm a fool, and if done correctly I don't mind upgrading again on certain titles.

The UK DVD version of Operation Condor has particularly bad PQ so I would 100% upgrade this title.

That would have been a great release if not for the brightness. Still worth the £5.00 I paid for it.

Same here, I have spent £'s on Jackie Chan Blu-rays over the past 12 months! The biggest hit was the Japanese ones!

I will wait till this one drops down in price!

Picture quality wise, yes...we just get the old English dub on this one!

Just watched this, while it's not Jackie's greatest film the Blu-ray is worth a punt. Yes, it's an upscale but it helps that the underlying transfer is extremely competent, and because it's the original version with Chinese audio (albeit 5.1 remix only) it's worth buying just for that.

The subtitles are SHITE though, they're taken from the English dub so aren't timed to the original audio, plus they turn into HOH subs with [laughs] descriptions about halfway through, and the spelling and grammar are terrible (like them getting lost in the "dessert"). How hard is it just to copy what you hear in the dub track?

Still, that's being petty. Uncut Jackie on Blu-ray for a fiver? Ta very much!

...or you could just stick with the uncut HK DVD which has decent subtitles.
