Default Would you buy and older SVS PB2 Plus or a new HSU STF-2?

The SVS PB2 Plus is on Craigslist. Say it is $400 for the sake or argument. The HSU is new and on sale for $319. I know the SVS goes lower, but the other is newer.

Was hoping for opinions. 99% movies. Thanks.

There's no question in my mind which I would take. I wouldn't be afraid to buy the SVS over the HSU. Don't be afraid of it just because it's older. SVS has a solid reputation for quality, and longevity.

Here's the reviews on both...

HSU:

SVS:

They're on two completely different levels... If the SVS isn't beat up, and hasn't been abused, it's a no brainer for me. I wouldn't be afraid at all to by the SVS. If the amp ends up failing, or a driver needs to be replaced eventually, still a better option IMO.

To me it's about which is a better performing unit, not which is a newer unit.

Another one here for the SVS, there is no comparison between it and anything else in its price range.

A quick Google search will bring up plenty of reviews for you to read

As Billy mentioned above ^
