Just watched this again for the first time since the theater. I really liked this movie. I don't get the hate this movie seems to get. For my money, it's better than the original in almost every way. I was pretty underwhelmed by the original when it first came out, but truly enjoyed the sequel. I think the sequel is so good that it makes the first movie better, and that's a rarity.

Ehh both part 1 and 2 were alright... nothing special in my opinion.

I actually like Sinister & The Conjuring wayyy more than Insidious

I liked this but i wish they eased up on the jump scares. The Conjuring had like 1 or two, this one had like 1 every couple minutes. I really like Elise's character. I feel really bad for her. I wonder what she saw in the last scene.

I agree - and thats just what I did. Im glad I rented it. We really liked the first one but this was one was a little dull and disoriented, IMO. Just didnt work. It was worth watching but thats it. No reason to add it to the collection.

I didnt care for the direction it went at all story-wise.

Please rent first.

I really liked this movie, it tied the story of the first part nicely with part 2. I couldn't wait and I grabbed it from Fry's for 14.99...it had the slipcover too.

I loved the first Insidious, but I watched this last night and really disliked it.

I hated that it went back and messed with the events of the first film. In fact, it almost seemed as though it was trying its hardest to make the first one less frightening.

Blind buy with caution.

It is annoying that this was released to BD in 5.1, when it was mixed in 7.1 and released theatrically in Dolby Atmos.

Saw this on Netflix recently and was really surprised at how good it was. I liked how, like BTTF2, it went back into the first movie while still maintaining solid narrative momentum. Good stuff.

Can someone explain what elise's role is this movie? I know she got killed in the first but someone told me she's an important character in this one.
