That's incredible. You must have a really cool shelving system going on.

Hopefully not as many as last year. I need to slow down.

Already got Darkman and The Shadow from Shout on pre order.

no idea, depends on what comes out.

there's still around 70 or so already released that I want but don't own yet (haven't found at price point desired)...

I'm sure there will be some 50 titles or so released I will want.

I also have NO idea.

Gravity and Frozen are the two that are high on my list though.

At the moment I only have plans for Thor 2 and Nikita S4, I'm planning to keep it as low as I can.

Fourteen so far that have been announced....

If by chance the studios keep releasing at this pace, probably 40 to 50.

Give you a number? How many steelbooks and digibooks will be released next year again? lol

Seriously though, depends. I've been looking at my collection and there are a few I'll probably part with because frankly I only bought them because they were cheap. As I am switching gears from just collecting movies to going for special editions/collectors sets and steelbooks/digibooks I can see the total net being under a hundred. I'm currently replacing all of my Disney releases with their 3D versions and since most aren't cheap I'm in no hurry.

as for already announced titles

umm

Boiler Room
Gravity
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
Thor: The Dark World
Rush

so 6 titles in 2014 thus far

i still need to see The Fifth Estate, Ender's Game, The Counselor, The Wolf of Wall Street, Grudge Match, American Hustle, Homefront and Oldboy.. so this could change just a tad

How does only one person have the Hobbit on there list? Movie is going to be my number 1 Blu Ray for sure. Ill probably end up getting around 50. Its an entire year! How could you only buy 10? Why are you on a forum dedicated to Blu Ray buyers/collectors and you only by less then 1 Blu ray a month?

10,302 BD's for 2014!

Really, who knows for sure how many BD's one will buy in 2014?

We get so many announcements within the year that its crazy to keep up how many titles one will be getting.

Honestly I don't have a set number. I just know I won't be going ham during Black Friday like I did this year.

With Star Wars purchased, I got all the big boxsets I want. Maybe will save for Singin in the rain, but from this point on I'm mostly getting amarays and a few Criterions and Digibooks.

I really don't know. As far as I know, there's 72 movies (starting in January) that I'll know I'll get. I would say, adding in surprises from Scream Factory, Criterion, and random price drops on desired catalog titles maybe 150....yeah, I'll say 150 will be "acquired".

For me, I know based on track record I'll buy between 5 to 10 theatrical releases (released in 2014 or late 2013). But the past movies depends on how many they come out with. Probably about 15.

Not nearly as much as I brought in 2013. I went from 2 blu rays to 90 in the space of a year. Obviously my new 40 inch Full HD TV had a lot to do with that, but yeah, completely fell in love with the format this year. I own almost every film that I want that's available right now, so will spend 2014 blind buying
