Default If someone stole your Blu-ray, would you notice right away?

If someone stole a Blu-ray movie from your collection, would you notice right away? How long do you think it would take before you notice? How often do you look at your collection?

I go through and look at my collection at least 3 times a week but even then I don't think I would notice right away. How about you?

Each of my Blu-rays has a trigger alarm that beeps extremely loud in my home when they're touched , and texts me when I'm away. I've also installed GPS chip on all of them in the event that they're stolen.

No one messes with mah blu-rayz

I would notice a gap in between Blu-rays on my shelf, so I'd imagine it wouldn't take long for me to discover a missing BD.

Not right away, no, but I would within a week as I am very particular with the types of blu rays I buy. Every single one of the blu ray ranges from respectable PQ to reference quality, and I love almost everyone of them too for being great films outside of having great PQ and SQ. So if somebody was to be all sly and the like and steal them then I would notice.

Yes. Papa Bear Blu-ray would be quite ferocious if somebody stole one of his cubs.

Considering where I keep them in my home, it's not likely that just anyone would casually be able to lift one, so it would have to be someone who has broken into the house and I'm sure if that happened, I would notice a lot more valuable things missing than a single blu-ray!

My shelf has no real order and people borrow my movies pretty often so I probably wouldn't notice until I decide to watch that movie.

Since I don't entertain, and invite a lot people to my home all the time, the answer would be no. But If my house was burglarized, and numerous of blu-rays, and other items were missing, then most definitely yes. I don't worry about anything being stolen because, blu-rays and other material things can be replaced if something happens to them. I have homeowners insurance, so I have a peace of mind.

I had a game stolen a few years ago by a young male cousin of my wife. I did not notice it right away but when I did I knew it was him because he was the only one playing the games. I don't often have strangers over so the chance of something being stole is very low. It's a shame but we do live in a sinful world.

No. I wouldn't notice right away but eventually when I'd go to pick out a movie to watch. Since my collection is on the smaller size, I'd catch it sooner rather than later.

When my daughter takes one to her room to watch, I notice it right away, the gap screams at me until I know what is missing and where it is. I always tell them to leave the case on the shelf and take just the disk, and bring it back after viewing.

At least I don't make her wash her hands, and use surgical gloves anymore. LOL.

I keep mine alphabetized. (The collection app for this site helps.)

So when my neighbor was house sitting and borrowed a weeds season she was surprised I instantly noticed it was missing.

Now the man if steel blu I have has a blu under a blu inside the case,... You could get one of those for a long time without me noticing.

I make my partner wash his hands before handling my Blus. He creased the corner of the J-card of my Taken 2 SteelBook and never heard the end of it.

I wouldn't notice straight away because my movies aren't in order at the moment, but I'd notice eventually.

Agree with you 500% also, the only way Id notice it, it is if its s pecial edition, like the terminator head, or the blade runner case....other than that...only when I want to watch it.

Actually she stole it, if she didn't asked you or anybody else's permission to borrow it. If I was house sitting for someone, and I wanted to borrow a movie from their collection, I would asked first, not take it home without the owner knowing about it... For instance: If I take somebody's car keys, and drive away with their car without the owner's permission then technically, I've stole that vehicle.
