Hi I just got my PS3 and I am ready to by my first blu-ray disc. I wanted to get some opinions or some facts before I buy my first one and watch my first one as well.
The two questions I have are: What is the best looking dvd so far, just overall what would you say the best disc that is out there right now? What is the best selling disc of all time for blu-ray? |

I just got 2001 - it has a superb picture. I'd also check out Blade Runner, both are 2 older movies that are classics and look top notch.
You can also visit: http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/reviews.html and sort by overall rating, sound, picture... |

Welcome to the forums. There have been many threads regarding what is "the best". You can probably find a lot of useful info in the next few pages.
I think it is safe to say almost everyone has Casino Royal POTC Either Cars or Ratatouille If you just want to be wowed by the first 10 mins or so check out Crank. |

Just don't get a movie like Dracula or another very low rated movie for PQ and you'll be surprised Last edited by Deadset; 05-07-2008 at 04:58 PM. |

I thought 30 Days of Night looked fantastic.

I can answer both your questions with one movie, I am Legend. It's always superstocked when I go to BB and other stores. And it's obvious it's restock. So people have been buying it. And to me, it looks better than I, Robot only because it has a more vast pallette of colors. And the sharper. I, Robot looks a little soft to me. But that's just me. Also, it sounds phenomenal. And if anybody tells you that there's not even any noise to warrant a lossless track or some BS of the sort, they don't know what they're talking about.

PQ-wise, 3:10 to Yuma really surprised me. I, Robot is good, if not great, but I gotta say that when you stick your nose up to the screen on 3:10, it's pretty amazing...
