Default Pioneer's 2008 Kuro Line: Thinner Blacker Plasmas and an LCOS Projector.

Here is a link to info on the new 2008 Pioneer Plasmas with 5X deeper blacks compared to the 2007 models. Pioneer also is going to release a front projector with deeper blacks which is based on the JVC front projector technology.

The Pioneer 60 inch and 50 inch 2008 Elite models in theory have a better picture quality then the 2007 models and they are $1,000 cheaper this year. Of course a future professional review will prove if these new displays are better then the 2007 models.

Thumbs up

The Pioneer Kuros are really gorgeous displays.

I frequently go to BestBuy at lunch to stare and drool. All I've seen in person is the older model, but the blacks, color and resolution are incredible. It makes my SXRD look a little dull to me.

They're just a bit too much coin for me right now.

I really hate the reflections on the Kuros with a passion. Reflections is the first thing I notice on TVs. I find, although the picture on the Panny PZ750 doesnt match it in the blacks, i find the less reflective screen more comfortable to watch, and really hoping the PZ800 (which I haven't seen yet) matches the Kuro in picture quality. Then it should have the brightness, the blackness, color vibrance and accuracy, and the non-reflectiveness that I am looking for.

Your nuts! the Panny's have an extra glass screen and are famous for having way more glare than the Pio's...
