Default Should I keep my JCards?

Hi fellow steelbook enthusiasts.

I was hoping I could get your opinion on the use of keeping JCards. Every time I but and open a steel I keep the JCard because I think that someday if I might want to resell a steel I'll need it or if I don't have it that some value is lost. Is there any truth to this? To be honest I'm tired of keeping track of old JCards and I want to get rid of them but before I do I want to truly make sure they are worthless. I can imagine the headache people who used to throw away slipcovers must have after finding they are worth good money and I don't want a similar situation to occur with the JCards.

I'm a steelbook collector and slipcover collector, but I see no use for j cards. Plus, I never buy to re-sell anyway.

I don't buy to sell as I love SB but there is always the chance I might want to sell or trade one I have to get a better one. Thanks for your two cents though, thats what I was pretty much thinking.

Yeah I know what I mean. From what I've seen on eBay though, steelbooks that are sold that come with the j card don't really sell for more compared to ones that come without one. In my opinion, aside from the hardcore film collectors, the majority of people who buy steels don't really care for j cards. Obviously some people on here will have a different opinion to me, but that's because I'm writing in a blu-ray forum...

I keep mine. But I've only got 50. And some of them were a nightmare to remove. The slips for great escape and wolverine should however be kept imo

Recycle the shit outta mine. Just can't be bothered with more storage and organizing. I keep all of my steelbooks anyhow.

You've devalued the steelbook more by opening it, than not having the J-Card.
Unless you're a prospector, always buy to keep. Not to resell. No worries that way.

I keep the info cards but folded up in the steelbook if possible and the little slips like The Wolverine has I just leave the steelbooks in.

I keep all of mine along with the backing cards on the back of the digibooks.
I try to clean up all the glue I can and then store them in a folder.

As far a slipcovers. We all know I burn them in a big pile outside my house.

All mine go in a shoebox in case I ever need them. Steelbooks look so much better without them.

I keep them but part of me wants to throw them away.

I think I might bin them off. If I ever decide to sell I doubt i'll get much more for having them there. I find them to be a pain but my OCD makes me keep them. They look far better without and even if I box them up i'm going to need a big box!

Hmmmm.....

You said it yourself. The J-cards are shit and therefore are only good for recycling... especially when people just stick them in a box. Once the shrinkwrap is removed, there is no need to hold onto them unless you are overparanoid about the steelbook backs getting scratched. And I have yet to have a steelbook scratched while stored without J-cards on them.
