![]() And this is yet another reason why I dislike TT so much. Although it is rare, and it probably won't happen with this release, there is always the chance the release sells out before you have a chance to determine its PQ and AQ. That said, I'm not holding out much hope for any PQ improvement on this release, and I will not be buying it if there isn't significant improvement. |

I agree. We need to get some screen caps quickly because Zulu is one of my favorite films and I want to know if it's any better than the U.K. disc. |

Which is why I have held off buying this disc as well, love the film, but won't spend the extra $$ if its not a decent upgrade from the UK disc. |

Smart bet though is to buy it. Keep it sealed until you find out if it is a worthwhile upgrade. If it sin't simply throw it up on Ebay. At worst you will break even, at best you will actually make a profit.Better than not buying it, it sells out and now you have to pay a scalper 50 bucks or more.

I received my copy from SAE yesterday and watched it last night. I also have the version sold by Amazon UK which I have watched several times. I have an Oppo BDP-93, Denon 3312 AVR and a Sony Bravia LED 60" TV. The SAE release is obviously superior in picture quality to the version available via Amazon UK. You don't even have to get out your magnifying glass to see the difference. The sound is also better. It sounds more balanced and clean.
I'm VERY happy I bought the SAE version. This is one of my all time favorite movies for the big screen. I saw it originally at a drive-in when I was 10 years old and it blew me away...especially the chanting of the Zulu warriors. |

Received the Twilight Time disk today. It has more image available on-screen, more natural color, and contrast than the UK Paramount disk. The video runs at around 38 mbps. It has DTS HD-MA 2.0 stereo, 1.0 mono, and 2.0 stereo isolated score tracks, and a Dolby Digital commentary track. It also includes a trailer. Hope this helps.
Comparison screens. [Show spoiler]
