The Boondocks on Blu-ray - Blu-ray Forum

Anyone know why there hasn't been any mention of the show "The Boondocks" coming to Blu-ray? It's produced by Sony Pictures, it's a pretty popular show, and the DVD has already been given a release date. With only a month until release though, I'm guessing a Blu-ray version is out of the question if it hasn't already been announced

they announce it when they want to it could even be a year before we see a blu-ray release

Yeah I understand that, but I would think that Sony would launch their Blu-rays day and date with the DVD version just as they do/did with most of their UMD releases.

when Boondocks came out to dvd and umd for psp blu-ray was still in its beginning stage and wouldnt have been a great transfer. most movies and tv shows dont get a day and date release with dvd version only the more newer movies do. and its not in sony pictures high priority list to release same goes for Robot Chicken

I should have mentioned that I was talking about Season 2, which comes out June 10. I wouldn't expect Season 1, but at this point, Blu-ray is pretty established to do S2. I see how it may not be a priority though.

Already picked up Season 1 on DVD, it doesn't look too bad upconverted. Of course I would prefer to get everything on Blu, but what can you do?

The currently being aired 4th season is supposed to be getting the only Blu-Ray release go the series

Not sure but hoping for a full, 4 season, boxset on blu
