Vudu payment UK

Hi has anyone had any success adding a credit card to vudu from the UK I've tried the methods around but I can't get them to work also do you need to have a payment method registered before you can redeem the promo codes? I know you don't need to for the movies but I was wondering if to buy some of the promo codes, thanks any help is appreciated.
