American Psycho is in my top 5 favorite movies, I could watch it all day. To bad the transfer to Blu Ray is kinda sucky, it really deserves much better.

I think I need to give it a second chance, but only have seen it once and didn't enjoy it very much at all.

I loved the COMMENTARY on music. Bale's character trying to seriously analyze the 80s pop pap is HILARIOUS.

Seriously twisted, and funny. Reminds me of what NY was like in the 80s.

Since it was filmed mostly in Toronto, it's one of those movies that is distracting as hell in that one respect.

I don't know how often it happens for your city (if they film there) but when disjointed locales are spliced together as coincident it is really wierd to see. Sometimes it's just a subconcious feeling that there was something wrong with the shot change.

This summer: The Incredible Hulk.

The scene where the Hulk and Abomination are running at each other in "Harlem" (look for the Apollo theater sign) see if you can spot the blindly obvious double neon records of the closed Sam the Record Man (near Yonge and Dundas).

It's not all wierd. Madison Square Gardens in Cinderella Man is a facade placed on The Bay store (Hudson Bay Company store, North America's oldest business) on the Richmond Street side. It was an AMAZING thing to see. Old street cars and autos made it look real even looking at it live.

Honestly, it wasn't distracting at all, for myself anyway. Most of the street scenes were at night and the camera was in so close that you couldn't really tell where it was filmed unless you really focused in on it. Sometimes its easy like in "Rumble in the Bronx" with the mountain range in the background or wide angle street scenes that clearly look like they were shot in Toronto when they were supposed to take place in NY or LA.

I was describing the characters in the film and how they reminded me of some people I knew back then, not so much the visuals. The Wall Street crowd with their vanity and pettiness was spot on. Of course they weren't all like that then but it wasn't hard at the time to know or bump into people like the characters you see in the film.

I bought this movie blind and watched it a few weeks ago. I need to probably watch it again, but as of right now, I don't really care for it that much. I didn't really understand it that much and there isn't any closure in the end. I'll have to watch it again I think.
