From Network in June:

As far as I can see, this is the first time Terry-Thomas has graced a Blu-ray. It's also a pretty rare film and I don't think it's ever been available on DVD.

Nice to see Network have moved away from the slimline DVD cases they used for the Blu's of Perfect Friday and The Man Who Haunted Himself.

I would actually prefer the other cases in this instance. It's part of The British Film collection, and although that series is a mixture of DVDs and Blu-rays, as all the other ones are in the same style case, I'd like them to carry it on so I can keep them all together. I haven't bought everyone in the series, and probably won't (not all the DVD releases anyway), but I'm buying the Blu-rays and they look good lined up together (at least to me anyway)

I know what you mean. I have been collecting them all (there's some real undiscovered gems in there) and they do look good all lined up

[Show spoiler]

but I think there were a lot of people who just bought the odd Blu-rays rather than collecting the set and weren't too happy about the packaging. If it means they sell more doing it this way, I'm all for it; I think it's brilliant that so many films which were near-impossible to see outside of specialist cinema screenings are now getting proper releases (even if the majority are restricted to DVD).

I love that set. Are there many that you haven't got? I need to get some more of these. Network regularly have sales on their website so I'm going to take advantage

I want to get The Edgar Wallace Anthology, and for £25 it's a great bargain, but there is too much coming out at the moment for me to justify spending the money and I know I won't watch it straight away:

I've got them all to date - I had a bit of a spurge before Christmas when Network had a 40% off sale (they had 50% off in July too, which helped), picked up the ones I didn't have already then (and paid £50 for the Edgar Wallace set, which still feels like a bargain). I've been picking up the Ealing Rarities as soon as they're released as they're so much fun. Looking at how many titles they're releasing over the next few months I might struggle to keep up though.

Awesome!! Thats so weird I was watching a load of Terry Thomas interviews and news stories in the week and was wondering when we would start getting some of his films on blu.
Was such a sad story about his decline into the ravages of Parkinsons Disease and how he ended up in poverty.

I've been getting the Ealing Rarities on day one. I also hope they release some more films in the British Musicals Collection. Not all the range will necessarily appeal to me, so some I'm waiting until I can get them really cheap

I was going to get more in that sale but I'd got so much other stuff I wanted to get, I only picked up a few titles. As I said, I will definitely pick some more up when they next have a sale. The sale at the moment doesn't have any of these ones in it, apart from the Edgar Wallace set

Absolutely! I'm not really a fan of musicals, but I've really enjoyed the first set. I tweeted Network to see if they were releasing more and they confirmed they would be, starting with Vol. 2 in June.
