Australia Body Double (July 2, 2014)

Did anyone else notice this? I have the Twilight Time, but will be interesting to see if same. Based on the fact that TT was limited to 3000, if Umbrellla get it right - they may hit goldmine. After quick search - I see no other releases scheduled internationally. Happy with my TT, but found the news interesting.

EDIT: release has been pulled.
EDIT 2: Now scheduled for July 2, 2014

Nice one! always great to see Limited Edition titles get released in other countries... and with it being Umbrella, should be able to pick it up for under $20.

The extras on the Umbrella release appear to be identical to the TT release. I strongly suspect the whole same disc.

Well, Sony owns this one practically everywhere, so the source is almost guaranteed to be from them, it's just a question of whether Umbrella will be granted access to the 4K-sourced HD master that TT got.

I doubt the Isolated Score will be included, but the rest of the extras were on the Sony DVD versions.

Here is the listing at Umbrella's web site:

Umbrella have previous Sony history. Starman, Tommy, The Deep... Etc... Direct ports from memory. But this is different. And I do know Umbrella do the best they can with materials provided.

I ****ing love De Palma's american Giallo pics: Body Double, Dressed to Kill and Blow Out. They are all amazing. I am glad there is another release, so I don't have to give Twilight Time a damn cent!

What's the issue with giving TT 'a damn cent'? And in all honesty purchasing a TT copy now they ain't getting no cents.

this seems to have vanished for pre-order from all the sites (Witness for the Prosecution is still showing though, which was to be released on the same day).

I noticed that too. Now it's almost as though they were never going to release it, as everything about the Umbrella Blu has vanished. All that remains now is this thread...

I wouldn't rule out that it may still be released locally just yet. This happened several times last year, where a title that had previously been scheduled for release disappeared, only to pop back up on the radar a month or so later. In a few instances they became JB exclusives.

I've confirmed with Umbrella that this has been pulled from release. No plans for a future release at present. Damn.
