Sharky's Machine (1981): WAC confirms - Blu-ray Forum

First a Thank You to blu-ray.com members alphadec and dragon53 who noted this on the Wish List. I followed the link provided by dragon53 and lo & behold according to a note to FB user Larry Schuett from Warner Archive Collection (WAC), Sharky's Machine (starring Burt Reynolds, featuring Rachel Ward) is now being prepped for a blu-ray release.

I've had the full-screen (4:3) edition on DVD for awhile. OK but could definitely use a blu-ray transfer from the original negatives.

Especially when Rachel Ward is in this. Love the hairstyles in those days.

I don't know what's the more notable news... Sharky's Machine is being released on blu-ray, or that WAC is actually releasing something on blu-ray.

Thanks to the OP for making my weekend!!! This has long been one of my most wanted titles and, with the historical lack of attention paid to Burt on Blu (and even DVD with all of the full-frame disasters like this), a moment I never thought would come.
