It's £55.99 on play.com, which is still way more than I'm willing to pay. If it was around £30 (which is what I paid for the Spiderman Trilogy on sendit.com) I may think about buying it.

but the price is a bit hefty

going to see how much it is in the us first and proberly import it if its region free...which i think the older ones by lionsgate generally are

doesn't the lionsgate bluray of Rambo have 7.1 sound as well?
sounds like we're getting screwed over yet again if that's the case.

yup US version is DTS HD MASTER 7.1

new info is, that it's region free

I eventually sold my boxset because it is so impractical. I will buy once again Rambo 1-3 separately. I just hope to find the uK releases for a bargain comparable to the Ultimate box. If not, I might buy the German/Swiss Kinowelt versions just because theire nice art (Rambo II UK original poster art is also nice IMO, but esp. First Blood German version cover is much better than US/EU/UK IMO).

Yeah, I have John Rambo Extended Cut on BD. I just watched it yesterday and thought it was better both by story and SQ than the theatrical Rambo (2008)!

I think they've changed the Ultimate Rambo set since (original set), its now just an ordinary slipcase, pics;

Anyway, Amazon have it for £16.99 at the moment. A bargain for a quality set of classics.

The new US box set contains the old Rambo (2008) disc.

I only own the separate US releases(see my collection), 3 of which are on the way to me as I write this & should be here this week.

I have the first Rambo movie sitting here but have nothing to compare it to. If I can help you make your mind up in anyway let me know what you want and I'll see what I can do

Its a shame the UK Optimum boxset misses a load of extras compared to the US Lionsgate set. I sold my dvds and would like to get the best version available. What do you guys think would be better, getting the UK one cheaper minus extras or paying more to the the US one?

I see they released double packs that were cheap enough on AxelMusic, it was First Blood and Rambo also Part 2 and 3 together. They were priced about €13 each.
