I know. I was thinking it was straight to DVD/Blu but it will be in theaters in less than 2 weeks.

I think it is just a limited theater release. Just a couple of cities.

This will definitely NOT be a shitty movie.

I'm almost sure it was supposed to be straight to video!??!

its actually a good movie.. was quite surprised

i think theres political reasons for it not being released in theatres.. thats the only thing i can think of, because with that cast and the okay/good movie it doesnt make sense for it to be limited or stv

BTW. ^^^^ Hilary has a really nice scene with scorpion from what I saw in the trailer!!!! Ouch!

Yeah, her character has some 'interesting' scenes -- kinda creepy once you learn of the bloodline though. It's really a very funny movie, but if your political leanings are very conservative you may be too offended to enjoy it.

For everyone else, it is a hysterically funny and very intelligent film, with some brilliant performances. I'll definitely pick this one up.

As for the practically 'straight to video' status, I don't think the upcoming 'opening' that is planned is largely symbolic, and will be very limited in nature. A lot of us who've seen the film think it's terrific, but aside from the festival circuit, it really hasn't been seen by... anyone.

First time I saw the trailer for this I thought for a few minutes that it was Grosse Point Blank 2. I mean John Cusack as a hitman, Joan Cusack as his assistant, Dan Aykroyd, and political assassinations humor. This easily could have been a sequel, they changed the names at least.

I'll just say that she plays the middle east's version of Britney Spears, and that there is a plotline involving a sextape. I'll leave the rest to your imagination.

Trust me, if they really took it that far, this movie would have gotten a much wider release. That said, she is incredibly hot in her Britney-esque outfits throughout the whole film. Definitely worth buying in HD.

I've liked John Cusack ever since "Better Off Dead", so more than likely, I might get "War, Inc." on Blu-ray, although I'm skeptical of Hilary Duff (in a complete throwback to Britney Spears) being in her first R-rated film. But that remains to be seen come this July.

Movie got panned at film festivals, so I'm not so sure it ISN'T a "shitty movie". What critics are praising the film in that ad? CinemaBlend? Who?

Movie's going straight to home video because it couldn't find any buyers for wide distribution probably due to the failure of all the other recent anti-war movies. Nobody wants to throw money down the drain.
