Being somewhat uninformed, I was curious if anyone knows if there are any plans for future releases of any of his films? The original Jason And The Argonauts would be way cool on Blu, anyone agree? Thanks for viewing, this site is simply cool.

Default Ray Harryhausen 4-Pack

Didn't see this posted anywhere, sorry if its a repost.

Ray Harryhausen Blu-ray 3-Pack Announced

3 classics (Earth vs. The Flying Saucers, It Came From Beneath the Sea and the previously released 20 Million Miles to Earth) are in the set.

Awesome for any sci-fi lover.

I saw it......I have 20 million miles already but if the other 2 come out as solos I'll buy them. I have all his stuff on Laserdisc so it's time to upgrade.
I see that the 7th Voyage of Sinbad is also coming out.

Ohh, yeah. One of the first movies I upgraded to DVD.

And coming on the same date as MGM's October back-catalog fest, I hereby declare that the War is over and we are now in official Summer of '99 mode:
Enjoy that back-catalog sweetness, with a new surprise every week for the next few months...

I never got into these types of movies before, but my cable line=up has a 'mosters HD channel, which features this stuff sometimes, and when they are on, I am hypnotized. LOVE watching this stuff in HD.

We must teach the younger generations, while we can.

(Even though, as one critic put it, Harryhausen monsters "die like tenors in an Italian opera" when killed...
Like 30's Kong, the overly-"personified" animation was part of the appeal.)

Oddly, the 50th Anniversary of "The 7th Voyage of Sinbad" will be released concurrently with the three pack. So why the hell did they not include that release rather than 20 Million Miles to Earth? Bizarre

Courtesy DVD Times:

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment have announced the US Blu-ray Disc release of The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (50th Anniversary Edition) on 7th October 2008. Sinbad battles a man-eating cyclops, a fire-breathing dragon and a two-headed roc in this legendary tale of adventure and romance on the high seas.

Region coding and exact features are TBC. Extras announced so far include:

* Audio Commentary with Ray Harryhausen, visual effects experts Phil Tippett and Randall William Cook, author Steven Smith, and Arnold Kunert
* Remembering 7th Voyage of Sinbad

That is rather odd... I'd definitely pick up the 3-pack if that's how it was... at this point I have to wait/hope they release them separately now.

Same here. I don't like box sets too much, I prefer them individually.

The package will contain Sinbad. It is now a 4-pack:

I will probably have to buy this. There's nothing like some old school sci-fi/fantasy/horror!

Spill the beans, whoever got this, how does it look on BD? If it's worth the upgrade, I'd love to get this. Thanks in advance!
