As a Canuck, I would probably have to say they are up there as one of, if not, my favourite Canadian bands. Can't believe I waited so long to finally see them live. Will not make that mistake again. ![]() |

some misinformation in this thread, but mostly not because its any one of your faults.
BLMN - this is not 'completely unexpected.' It was announced in Nov 2012 that this show was being recorded in 3D. And I personally broke the news in March 2013 that this had an expected summer theatrical release. Duranfan - Axl and GNR have been A LOT better in the last few years at hitting the stage on time. Have you seen GNR recently? Honest Question there. I've seen them 6 times since Oct 2011 the later shows were a lot better at hitting the stage then the earlier shows. Also, this blu ray has been delayed multiple times for all sorts of reasons that we are not privy too. You can't blame it all on Axl. One reason for the delay that I have 100% knowledge about is that there was a HUGE dispute about synch rights getting approved because Slash and Duff refused to approve it. (In case some are unaware, the synch rights for old songs requires a unanimous approval of all three: Slash, Duff, and Axl). if you want to discuss these issues further feel free to stop by http://gnrtruth.proboards.com/ |

Here's a thread on the biggest Gn'R forum with up to date info on this release (among other things) that RockFuel actually made an account to post on our forum about. Feel free to check it out: http://www.mygnrforum.com/index.php?...dates-website/

That is AWESOME! I have been wanting a Guns N Roses concert dvd or bluray release since I first saw the band in 2006. Every single time I have seen the band they put on the greatest concert I have ever seen. We're talking 7+ hours of music (counting the other bands on the ticket lol) here played at volumes which are far louder (yet amazingly clear without any bad mixing) than any concert you have ever seen.

Axl sounded great when I saw them and his entire band are really talented. Even though they went on a few minutes before 1 am they delivered well over 3 1/2 hours of great music.
When I saw them Buckcherry opened for them and let me just say for Axl to be mislabeled as sounding bad or take as much grief that he always does, BuckCherry took the cake and played just for the front row and were as quiet as a fly fart. When GNR came on they were playing for you, they put that performance in your face, you were assaulted with music. Plus Axl is a showman and was having fun with the audience and was talking and making jokes but the singer of Buckcherry its like you are watching this dancing skeleton on stage with no chemistry with the audience he was joking about heroine and how many chicks he had banged. |
