I was looking at upcoming releases at Fox Connect so I could place an order and noticed these were added. Release date May 6

OMG! You seriously don't know how happy you just made me! I've been debating for YEARS whether or not to import the UK release of Weekend At Bernie's, SO glad I waited now.

I have this idiot friend who's always preaching how the studios "know better" but I honestly believe they give priority to crap like this not based on actual sales but merely on their own perception of audiences being stupid and only wanting bad, stupid movies.
Speed 2 was a disappointment when it came out. It may have made sense to push it on home video to recoup the budget, etc but, honestly, how many people are going to buy/rent a bad OLD movie? Studios prefer to release their good stuff as MOD so the potential buyers stay away because they're burnt SD discs and put out these "gems" so people can pass them by in supermarkets.

I'm excited for Speed 2. It's ridiculous, but it was a mammoth production and should look great on Blu.

Excited for The Deep End (and Notes From a Scandal) too.

A bit off topic but whenever I see, hear or read anything about Speed 2 I think back to an interview that I saw on Entertainment Tonight where Jason Patrick talks about turning down Tom Cruises role in The Firm because he didn't want to do "those kinds of films but real art" or something. His next film was Speed 2.

Yeah! Speed 2: Cruise Control. Terrible film, but *almost* a guilty pleasure. Day one for me - probably Weekend At Bernies as well.

Well, we should thank Gravity ($$$) and S. Bullock for Speed 2 BD release. Weekend at Bernie's is a decent, stupid fun. The Deep End sounds inteesting. Never heard of that movie, though.
