Default BD Movies on my TV

Hey i was wondering if anyone could help me out. When i watch Blu-ray movies on my HDTV using my PS3 i am noticing a lot of white lines outlining things in the picture. For example in the movie if a person turns their head i can see a bunch of white lines outlining all of the individual pieces of their hair. This is very distracting to me at times. It is not just peoples hair but there appears to be white outlines everywhere. Why is this happening? The picture still looks good but i get the feeling that it isn't as smooth looking as it should be.

-By the way i am using a 26" sharp HDTV 720p and a PS3 that is connected to this HDTV with an HDMI cable.

Make sure your output is set to 720p and not 1080i on your PS3. You're adding an unnecessary deinterlacing step that can manifest, especially on cheaper TVs like you're describing
