where's face/off in amazon ???

It's a mistake by Amazon, just like when they listed Cloverfield and There Will Be Blood for 5/20.

Now hopefully this mistake doesn't screw up the shipping department and cause us to wait even longer.

You guys need to send them an email to let them know. The more people complain the quicker they will have to have to fix the error.

Here is a copy of the email I sent that refers to the "delay" of Bee Movie:

I got an email from amazon saying that this title has been pushed back to June 3rd and it is my hope that in sending this email that you will contact the right person to let them know that this item's release date has not been pushed back to June 3rd, but is still on schedule for release on May 20th. Amazon made an error and it is my hope that amazon can get this error fixed before May20th, so Im not forced to take my business elsewhere.

Here is the official press release from Paramount that CLEARLY STATES that Bee Movie will be out on May 20th, along with Face/Off and Next:

You can check these other retailers who are ALL showing that Bee Movie is coming on May 20th. All I have also confirmed with people I know in the stores that Bee Movie has NOT been delayed.

It is my hope that the powers-that-be at amazon.com will look and realize that they made an error in the delay. I would hate to have to cancel my order and pay a higher price at another retailer.

Who cares if they don't have it yet?? Either buy it somewhere else or wait until it's up, this is not a title that needs to be purchased the first day it comes out

Some of us DO care and want to set the record straight. You are NOT the judge over which title needs to be purchased when it comes out.

heres what I believe happened, they havent received inventory yet to ship orders so they pushed the date back instead of sending delay emails

The idiot that changed the release date of Cloverfield and TWBB back to 6/3 went ahead and changed ALL of the Paramount releases to 6/3.

Best Buy hasn't received any shipments of any Paramount Blu-Rays including the rereleases. I don't think there is an error with Amazon but more than likely a delay from Paramount to retailers. I work at Best Buy and I looked up a couple of BD movies including Blades of Glory, Shooter and some other ones and in all of the warehouses that I checked for the Bay Area none of them have been received.

I just found this at EngadgetHD, looks like we have our answers and in regards to what happened to the Paramount re releases.

Blu-ray releases on May 20th, 2008

Paramount why do you tease us? Just when we thought we were finally going to get rid of that annoying asterisks once and for all, you seemly move back all the re-issues to June 3rd, and to make it worse, the most highly anticipated Paramount titles like Bee Movie, There Will Be Blood and Cloverfield are delayed as well -- honestly we're not sure who's right at this point, but we're going to error on the side of caution on this one. But that doesn't meant it isn't a great week, as there are a number of titles to get excited about this week including what is easily the biggest in National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets. Another title this week that happens to be near and dear to our childhood, that we look forward to enjoying for the first time all over again on Blu-ray is Short Circuit. And finally Warner catches Blu-ray up to HD DVD on one of the biggest titles -- still waiting for The Matrix -- with V For Vendetta. It should be noted that for the first time in a long time, DVD doesn't have any exclusives worth metntioning which should make for an interesting week when the Nielsen VideoScan numbers are released.

Using Bee Movie as an example, I checked other retailers for a release date. Best Buy, Circuit City, Wal-Mart, DVD Empire, DVD Pacific, DeepDisount DVD, and Buy.com are still listing as 5/20.

Amazon is the only retailer showing a 6/3 date.

There's another thread about Face/Off where members are reporting that they found it at Wal-Mart, so these 5/20 titles are indeed out there.

You have to send the email from your specific order page.
