Default What do you guys think of my collection?

Hey guys, I'm sort of new to this forum but so far I'm totally digging it. I'm a huge film buff and I really enjoy discussing films. Over time I've built up a pretty good collection and I was wondering whatcha guys thought of it. There are also a bunch of more films I plan on adding to my collection.
Movies I want to buy:
american beauty
full metal jacket
american history x
the good the bad and the ugly
the dark knight
casino
chasing amy
american history x
good will hunting
The indiana jones trilogy
rocky
skyfall
bridesmaids
shaun of the dead
this is the end
inception
forrest gump
the fighter
fight club
the godfather 1 & 2
fargo
the shining
the big lebowski
the hangover
jackie brown
swingers
kick ass
boogie nights
wolf of wall street
american hustle

Forrest Gump, The Indiana Jones Trilogy,The First Rocky, and Inception are all films I owned at one point but somehow lost....

I think that you don't need to seek justification for having invested in your collection.

What do YOU think of your collection. That is ALL that matters.

It's not great, but then most people's collections aren't great on this site, either.

For starters you don't have anything earlier than Rocky, no films outside America and very little in the way of independent films. You have some good films like Boogie Nights and Casino, but I imagine most film buffs have those.

I actually got rid of my Dark Knight/Batman Begins blu ray because it's just not the same film without watching it on the IMAX format. The blu ray's non IMAX scenes look really bad and the non DTS sound just made me think, sod it, i'll exchange this somewhere. Batman Begins, I suspect will get a 4K remaster by next year and I would really like an upgrade on sound with that one too so i'm holding out.

Oh no the movies I listed there were some of the ones I wanted to buy whenever I see em. The ones I owned are listed in my bluray collection.
Edited it to be more clear.

I wouldn't get too stressed about what people think about your collection. I usually go out on a whim and buy whatever sees fit.

Don't worry about what people think of your collection. The most important thing is you like your movies.
You have a very neat collection by the way!

Like your collection lot of titles I have. Don't worry about what we think though. You paid for it and watch it. Main thing is you like it. You got a nice start on your collection.

Where did you get As Good As It Gets? It's been OOP forever! Your collection is all right. Some good titles, some bad.

You definitely have some masterpieces by great filmmakers. Keep building your library and don't sweat anyone else's approval.

Who cares what others think of their collection? I don't even care if my best buddies think mine is great or not. Everyone had their own opinions of every should be in a collection. Some people say you've gotta have a balance of everything (from foreign to mainstream, from family to horror and from documentary to sci-fi. A lot of categories people say you need I couldn't care less about. The main thing is that you enjoy what's in your collection.

Never seek approval from the internet. Seriously.

Exactly.. Everyone has they're likes and dislikes so if you have what you enjoy then your collection can only get better.
