Well... it's between Hustler and Color of Money, and since Hustler was the original (and better, and didn't have Tom Cruise in it) it's gotta be Hustler!!!! I love Christopher Walken and all... but C'mon... it doesn't even deserve to be on the list.... it should "which is better" The original, or Remake.....

I hear ya man! It is definately between those 2. Since I grew up with TCoM, I went with that. I only threw up PJ's because of Walken and Ricky Schroeder!

'The Hustler'. The movie is legendary, and I can't tell you how many times that I've watched it. The synergy between Jackie Gleason and Paul Newman was some of the best that I've ever seen on the silver screen.

If yes to the first one, then I must ask you this... how many times have people quoted Austin Powers' Goldmember to you? I'm looking for an exact number.

Actually, it comes from my intense dislike of everything having to do with the Dutch. It's a bit of irony, what? Or, if you'd like, it comes from the bestest movie character of all time, my man Dutch from 'The Karate Kid'. "Well, if it isn't our little friend Danielle. Hello, Danielle. What's the matter; mommy not hear to dress ya? Hey, I'm talking to you, punk...C'mon, c'mon -- make a move! Ya know, points or no points, you're dead meat..." What a badass!!!

As to the other, I swear I remember a pool hall in 'Dazed and Confused'. Didn't Forest Whitaker send some little white boy out to buy some beers from there or something? Right before Matt Damon got whipped in the parking lot...

Don't bother..... Lebowski is 1,000,000,000 times better.

Honorable mention for a non-film: the Twilight Zone episode "A Game of Pool," starring Jack Klugman and Jonathan Winters---Winters in his dramatic debut, I think? Unless I'm very much mistaken, the actors made all their own shots. Good story, too.

Definitely "The Hustler". Paul Newman, Jackie Gleason, and George C. Scott turn in legendary performances in the movie! I also liked Newman in "The Color of Money", the film which won him the Academy Award for Best Actor back in 1986. The movie was good, but not as good as The Hustler!

The most notable absentees from the list are "The Replacements", "The Express" & "Leatherheads". All three movies were excellent IMO. I am sure I am missing a few more.
