Default 'Faking It' ---- MTV

New MTV Show, starting April 22nd:

From MTV.com: "'Faking It' is a new romantic comedy about two best friends who love each other -- in slightly different ways. After numerous failed attempts to become popular, the girls are mistakenly outed as lesbians, which launches them to instant celebrity status. Seduced by their newfound fame, Karma and Amy decide to keep up their romantic ruse. Also starring Gregg Sulkin of 'Wizards of Waverly Place' fame."

Will be checking this out. Doesn't look bad and glad it's not another MTV reality show. They do much better with scripted shows like Teen Wolf and Awkward.

Just finished the pilot. I loved it. But there's no way in hell a high school like that would ever exist.

Does anyone know if MTV release's shows uncut on DVD? I loved the pilot but the censoring got a bit annoying. Not sure how bad it was in the 2nd episode though.

Loved the 2nd episode. Shane was funny as hell in his cowboy outfit. Swearing got really old as they censor it which just makes it stupid and useless IMO.

Really hope they offer it uncut on DVD.

They won't offer it uncut on DVD. Awkward is the same way. Honestly doesn't bother me anymore. Now it would be kind of weird to hear them uncensored on DVD.

Just watched the second episode tonight. This is such a cute, fun show.

That sucks. Hate when shows are censored and we have no way of seeing it uncensored. This is the only show I watch that they censor so I'm not used to it.

Would rather they just stick to non swear words than.

Why would they make shows with swearing that are going to be specifically for a network that does not allow swearing in it's broadcasts?

I actually enjoy the censored swearing. Much more realistic for teens to be swearing (even though it's censored).

That's what I want to know. Why write it in the script when they know it's going to be censored.

censored swearing isn't funny. Just takes away from the show. Especially when we'll never get an uncut version.

As unrealistic and somewhat-over the top in parts as the show may be, I'm actually liking it thus far.

Though I definitely agree, the censored swearing bits are getting annoying.
Either have them say things they can say on the channel, or leave it out!

Apparently there's already some apprehension about the show moving forward past this season? The stars of the show have been pushing a twitter campaign to get #RenewFakingIt as a worldwide TT (which they did), saying that because there was a dip in the numbers on the last episode as compared to the others, that somehow there's now doubt about the show's future... seems a bit overzealous, but ya never know I guess

Thumbs up

Finished the first season today. Love it! Rita Volk is awesome. Great finale. Really sad/touching moment when Karma found out the truth. Poor Amy.

Can't wait for Season 2!

I love this show so far, I have a feeling that next season Karma is going to fall for Amy right after Amy gives up on the idea of the two of them becoming romantically involved.
