Wal-Mart Canada: $18.83 Titles

I was surprised to see a bunch of catalogue titles for only $18.83 at Wal-Mart. Here are some titles I saw at the store.

That's all I can remember right off my head. There were more than what I listed.

That's awesome! The only two titles I saw (Hellboy, Black Hawk Down) aren't on your list. I really hope they have 2001 next time I go.

I decided to check out my local Walmart and found the display outside of the electronics section with the select Blu-Rays on sale. In addition to the titles listed above, they also had SWAT, Alexander Revisited and The Last Samurai.

Just got back, what a deal! Picked up 2001 and Troy! Add Unforgiven, Troy, Big Fish, and The Battle of the Bulge.

Not at my Wal-Mart. They were in cardboard display.

My Wal-Mart's Blu section (here in Canada) disappeared about a month or so ago. I don't know why and I'm not happy about it.
There was a centre four-way for Blus and HD-DVDs that got progressively Blu-ray-dominated as HD-DVDs death became more pronounced, but then HD discs just disappeared altogether.

I would love to take advantage of these deals but first I must find the missing Blu-rays.

It's for a father's day promotion, so they probably will have at least some of them. My Wal-Mart selection is pretty small, but they had everyone of those titles listed when I went last night. I hope this deal goes on until father's day, I wouldn't mind picking up a few others.

Did anyone notice if the Fifth Element is the re-mastered version?

Yes, it's the re-mastered version. It was shiny.

I picked up 2001, 300, and had my hands on Fifth Element (Must be a numbers freak) but I didnt get Fifth Element because I wasn't sure if it was remastered or not. I know what to look for now, so I may go back now.

OBTW, If anyone's wondering, the remastered edition has "Experience High Definition" in silver foil, and has Dolby TrueHD listed on the back as an audio option.

did you ask anyone in the store? i thought the same thing at mine but they had just moved it to an awkward location, just outside the electronics dept.
