Honestly, a sequel to True Lies would be pretty interesting and an announcement like that would pleasantly surprise me.

I know we're going to see an Avatar 2 but honestly, the boat seems to have sailed on that one a long time ago.

Like most here, I would rather see True Lies 2, although, I dont think it will ever happen either.

I completely agree. That being said, I think we're going to get Avatar 2 but not True Lies 2 any time soon (if at all).

As much as I would have loved to have seen TL2 back in the 90's I'd have no interest in it now.

I love both films. But let's be real; how the heck can they make a True Lies 2 now? The original cast is far older, the terrorism thing has a lot more weight now that would probably tick off the wrong people, and I just don't think it'd strike the right chord as it did back in the 90s. I think True Lies was great as a one-off; a sequel could be good, but it could just as easily suck pretty bad.

Avatar is fresher and has room to grow. It even has room for improvement.

Although, if I could have anything, I'd prefer to have James Cameron ditch all sequels and make that Battle Angel movie I kept hearing about.

As it is though, I'm down for more Avatar too.

I don't think a True Lies sequel would turn out very well. That said, I love True Lies, and I disliked Avatar quite a bit, so True Lies 2 it is.

sure, they can make true lies 2, it can be about something other than terrorism

but it's development hell or something while avatar 2 is actually happening
