Darksiders

I'm surprised Shin Rah hasent posted this yet, or maybe he only does exclusives. I came across this game and Im wondering what everyone elses thoughts are on it. I for one like the artist direction they are taking but im unsure of the gameplay, which goes for lots of games before i play them, though my gameplay instinct usually serves me well.

This game reminded me alot of God of War.

So is this game any good? Not much action in this thread, and no reviews posted. I have nothing new to play right now, and most of what really strikes my fancy I already have. I guess I'm going to play Dragon's Dogma when its out, but thats a while yet. This I can download, and there's a sequel coming soon, if I like it. I haven't played the Batman games, which received much praise, but I'd have to go pick one of those up. Otherwise I could go and pick up some trophies in some old, old games like Bioshock.

You haven't played the Batman games?!!!

Drop what you are doing and play Arkham Asylum NOW!!! Get the platinum.

Get Arkham City after that. Its best to play Arkham Asylum first so you can get used to the combat.

I thought this game was loads of fun and can't wait for the sequel. Well, actually I can because of my backlog. I really enjoyed the fighting mechanics as well as the treasure and artifact hunting. I didn't get bored with the game because it had a couple different styles mixed in there.

I agree with Merrick in regards to the Batman games, if you haven't played either one then get on it! But in regards to Darksiders the game...it is a damn good one. This is coming from a guy who didn't the game until this year! I really enjoyed it plus it can a challenging game at that! Definitely looking forward to Darksiders 2 later this year!

Darksiders was great! Was one of my faves that I played in 2010. It's got God of War esque combat mixed with Zelda style dungeons and puzzle solving. Throw a decent story in and you have one fun game. Some parts were quite challenging as well! And since it can be had for like 15 bucks it's one of the best video game values around IMO. Also, get Batman!

Darksiders is a 15 hour download at my house, but I set it up. But, since my wife was going to Target, anyway, I had her pick up Arkham Asylum. Should keep me busy for a while. I went by the local Pamida store today. It's clearing out for closing soon, for obvious reasons, if you have one in your town. They had about 20 copies of Cabela's Big Game Hunter and not much else. My sun conure enjoyed the ride, though.
