Apocolypse Now, Redux or original. I did really enjoy the Redux version, though. Added quite a bit of texture to the movie, not to mention its already lengthy time!

Apocalypse Now Redux and the Deer Hunter are easily the Best.
Full Metal Jacket is an extremely uneven film and almost unwatchable in some parts.

My favorite Vietnam War movie. Overall, Platoon is my favorite war movie of all time. Nothing comes close.

Apocalypse Now. Because I love the smell of napalm in the morning.

Seen the Redux edition once; it's a very interesting cut, but I prefer the theatrical version for most viewings. Shorter, better-paced, and more to-the-point.

This is a tough choice. For me it boils down to a choice between Apocalypse Now, The Deer Hunter, Full Metal Jacket, and Platoon; and I enjoy these four films immensely. In the end I voted for The Deer Hunter.

Ranking them would look like this:

1. The Deer Hunter
2. Apocalypse Now
3. Platoon
4. Full Metal Jacket.

Apocalypse Now, a goddamn masterpiece. I do prefer the theatrical version, but Redux is still good enough to be the best Vietnam war movie.

Apocalypse Now! (theatrical) redux is cool but I like the pacing of the OG one.
Probably then Platoon and the first half of Full Metal Jacket is gold!

The only logical answer is Apocalypse Now.

Platoon is a close second.

Full Metal Jacket is really only half a Vietman movie, so I don't think it counts.

Anyone who disagrees with me on this is my enemy.
