Amazon.ca still has a couple of Region A versions available.

Its original French release as La Môme seems to be preferred by many collectors, although apparently out of print now. I own the Canadian Bi-Lingual English/French release by Sony Classics/TVA, and it is very, very good too.

I bought this version from Amazon.Fr a few years ago and was very happy with it. The movie is region free, but the DVD with the extras is in PAL.

I've asked this before, but it looks like it was lost in the Great Data Crash of '12 and I forgot the answers...Which is the best release of this film?

French release for sure.
looks like it was re-released last year in a new "special edition".

Is there any particular reason this has not been released in the US?

Whoever is making the decisions to release these companies catalogues should all be fired.

For those in the US that have ordered this from Amazon.fr; how? I do not speak/read French. Is there a "English" language setting for that site (Safari)? I do not see one. Does your login work?

I've ordered from Amazon.uk and Amazon.ca before but this import from Canada is almost $40 w/ shipping and the one from France is about $12 + shipping. And of course most of the others from Canada are region B/2 or don't have English Subtitles also. They don't want to make it easy for us.

I've actually not seen this but I am a fan of Marion Cotillard (just watched Two Days, One Night). I can't recall if this played at local theaters in OC during it's theatrical release - probably limited release in LA only. The DVD has been in my Netflix queue for a while now (wish they'd get the import), but I can't bring myself to watch the DVD when there's a BD version available. It's just not the same experience even with an excellent up sampling BDP.

Google Chrome will translate the site. Amazon login works for all Amazon but Amazon Japan.
The Hong Kong edition is In French Lossless, English subs, OAR 2.39, and Region A. I snagged a copy on ebay for 20$ shipped to the US in 6 days

So anyone get the 2013 re-release of the French edition?

What are the diffs (from prior French edition)? Is it still region-free? Does it have lossless audio track? Does it add English subs for the extras?

Thanks.

I just received edition speciale and I can tell you that is is region free and the blu-ray plays fine in my region A player. I have no idea about the extra bonus DVD as I really only cared about the movie. And yes it has English subs which are very easy to read however if you have masking on your screen you will need to watch without as the subs are partly in the black bars.

If you buy from Amazon.fr it will say there are three discs. There is only one blu-ray and one bonus DVD (which may not play in North America).
